Dr. Ahmed Al Saadi graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in Al Ain in 1999 (Distinction with Honour). He received multiple awards of excellence throughout medical school. He joined the Ophthalmology program at McGill University, Canada in July 2001 and graduated in 2006 from the Royal College of Surgeons Canada.
He was awarded the first clinician price in 2003 in McGill. Following that, he obtained a fellowship in cornea and anterior Segment from the University of Montreal in 2007. He completed his Executive Masters in Healthcare Administration in 2010 (Distinction with Honour).
He has been working in Zayed Military Hospital. He established the Cornea transplant program at Zayed Military Hospital in 2008. He also introduced the up to date cornea procedure to Zayed Military Hospital. He has performed more than 1,500 refractive procedures. He is actively involved in teaching at UAE University and various residency programs in the UAE. He has a special interest in Keratoconus. He is the Chief Medical Officer of ZMH.
Dr. Gurbaxani specialises in the assessment and management of uveitis and inflammatory eye disease (uveitis, infectious diseases, and autoimmune diseases of the eye) as well as medical retinal diseases, such as diabetes, macular degeneration and retinal vascular disease. He has broad experience in the diagnosis and management of complex inflammatory eye diseases, including the use of immunosuppression, as well as in treating retinal disease. Dr. Gurbaxani is also skilled in managing complex cataract surgery associated with these diseases.
Dr. Gurbaxani trained in ophthalmology in Oxford and London, working at The Oxford Eye Hospital in Oxford, Kings College Hospital, St. Thomas’ Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He has worked at the prestigious Medical Eye Unit in London as well as completing a Uveitis Fellowship and Medical Retina Fellowship at Moorfields London and the Sydney Eye Hospital in Australia, before returning to Moorfields London as a locum consultant.
Dr. Gurbaxani is experienced in initiating research projects and running clinical trials and has regularly published and presented papers at national and international conferences. He is a member of several professional bodies including the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth), Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCS) (Ed) and American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).

She obtained her medical degree with honors and distinction from UAE University. Dr. Alshamsi then joined a four years residency program at King Saud University in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mohammed Sohaib Mustafa
Dr. Mustafa is a General Ophthalmic Surgeon and subspecialist in Glaucoma & Cataract, with experience in the latest surgical techniques in complex glaucoma management including micro drainage devices, laser treatment and less invasive techniques. Dr. Mustafa is also an experienced Cataract Surgeon, he performs complex cataract surgery with premium IOL options and in patients with Glaucoma. He specializes in imaging of the eye and glaucoma through Ocular Coherence Tomography, Ocular Ultrasound and Biomicroscopy.
He is also a GCAA certified specialist Medical Examiner and Aeromedical Examiner. He has many years of experience in the management of eye conditions and surgery in aviation medicine.
He undertook his fellowship training in Adult and Paediatric Glaucoma at Manchester University Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, UK, working under eminent clinicians within the Glaucoma fraternity. He is a certified specialist in the UK and Europe, having also undertaken a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon post at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.
He has undertaken further training in Refractive Surgery (LASIK, LASEK, PRK) and Premium IOL Femtolaser Cataract Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital London. He has attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery from UK and can offer treatments for potential glasses independence using the latest and safest technological advances.
Dr. Mustafa graduated in Medicine with a Commendation from the UK and undertook his residency in General Ophthalmology in the UK, having worked at The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, and Aberdeen University Hospital in Scotland.
He is a Member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London and has gained fellowships from the European and United Kingdom boards in Ophthalmology.
His main research interests include compliance and the safety of glaucoma medications, efficacy and safety outcomes of the latest surgical techniques in glaucoma and cataract, including micro drainage devices, and simulation teaching of ocular ultrasound. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at international and national meetings.
Dr. Mustafa continues to collaborate with colleagues in London on his research interests and latest patient management principles.

Dr. Murad Alobthani graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in Al-Ain in 2009 then Joined the Department of Ophthalmology at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi. He started Residency training program at the University of Toronto, Canada in 2012 and graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons Canada in 2017. Dr. Alobthani completed cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He is currently pursuing second Corneal fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, UK.
Dr. Alobthani is expected to return to UAE in September 2019.

Omnia Hamam, MD, DES is a Consultant Ophthalmologist in Zayed Military Hospital. Fellowship in Glaucoma and Retina from Pierre and Marie Curie University Paris. She is French board-certified, Worked during 5 years in different university hospitals in Paris, followed by 2 years in Quinze Vinghts hospital, the second biggest eye center in Europe.
She was a part of the research team in ocular surfaces and glaucoma disease in Institute du vision in Paris. She has given many lectures in national and international congresses. She also obtained four University Diplomas such as: DU in Glaucoma 2015; DIU in Retinal Imaging and Pathology 2014; DIU of Neuropthalmology 2012-2013; DIU Ocular Inflammation and infection 2009-2010.
In relation to her field, she has the eagerness to learn and is interested particularly in Ocular Imaging. Through her capabilities, she is performing a series of courses and workshops about Ocular Imaging Techniques and Interpretation, Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography in Retina, Ocular Echography, Visual field of Retina, Optic Nerve Imaging, Ocular Radiology etc. She mainly believes that learning is a process to guide her through her journey.
Dr. Giledi trained and worked in Ophthalmology in UK for over 22 years. He joined Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib, Dubai in August 2013. He had 2 years Fellowship training in Cornea, Anterior Segment and Refractive Surgery at the Corneoplastic Unit, Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, UK from 2000 – 2002. An experienced Ophthalmic Surgeon, Dr. Giledi has performed in excess of 27,000 laser refractive procedures including LASIK, Femtosecond LASIK (IntraLASIK, Ultra LASIK ), LASEK and Wavefront-guided treatments as well as specializing in the treatment of complex cases, includes treatment of complex cases referred from all over UK.

Piergiorgio Neri, BMedSc, MD (Hons), PhD, FEBOphth graduated from the University of Ancona Medical School in 2000. He obtained a specialist diploma in ophthalmology at the University of Ancona in 2004 and his PhD in neuroscience in 2007.
Dr Neri was Honorary Research Fellow in Uveitis at the Eye Department, University of Aberdeen, scientist visitor at the University of Tübingen and Visiting Professor at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. In 2010 he was named Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Polytechnic University of Marche-Ancona.
Dr Neri was honorary clinical ocular immunology consultant and medical retina consultant at the Ospedali Riuniti “Umberto I-GM Lancisi-G Salesi” of Ancona. He acted as director of the Ocular Immunology Service at the Ospedali Riuniti “Umberto I-GM Lancisi-G Salesi” of Ancona since 2007. In 2018, Dr Neri has joined Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi as Clinical Associate for Medical Retina and Uveitis and the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western University-Cleveland Ohio-USA as Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology.
Dr Neri is member of the Italian Ophthalmology Society (SOI), the International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS), the European Society of Retina Specialists (EURETINA), International Uveitis Study Group (IUSG) and the European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER). He is also the Secretary General of the Society for Ophthalmo-Immunoinfectiology in Europe (SOIE) since 2008. Dr Neri has served EVER as Section Program Secretary for Immunology/Microbiology Section since 2010 and became Section President in 2016.
Dr Neri is also listed in the panel of the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicine Agency (EMA) and of Italian Pharmaceutical Agency (AIFA).
Dr Neri is author and co-author of more than 120 national and international publications, including original articles, editorials, reviews, book chapters, monographs and abstracts.Dr Neri acts as Editor-in-Chief of International Ophthalmology, as Associate Editor of BMC Ophthalmology and as Reviewing Editor of Ocular Immunology and Inflammation.
